This is a very clever idea to hold a bottle of wine in a horizontal plane. While it looks like magic, this clever wine bottle holder relies on geometry and gravity to seemingly suspend the bottle in mid-air.

Attended a local Christmas fair in the village hall in Rhosneigr last Saturday, It is only a seaside village relying mainly on holiday makers, so the numbers were quite low. However I was pleased with my sales, selling quite a bit. The jigsaws in CD cases were popular along with the wooden puzzles. I was also lucky enough to sell two of my framed photographs which helped to swell the takings. All in all a good day, doing another small one next week, so will be hoping for the same results.

Well it's a beautiful sunny day here on the Isle of Anglesey in N Wales. It's going to be a busy day getting everything ready for a craft fair tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a fine day so that people will venture out to take a look. Will report back with the result.

Dragon clock

Have just finished this clock which was ordered from me, it stands 9" tall and is made from pine, the pine used for the bases is reclaimed from a very old chest of drawers. It has a quartz clock movement and is finished in a gloss varnish.

Well am quite busy scrolling at the moment, got quite a few orders through my shop at Folksy. The childrens name jigsaw puzzles have proved to be very popular, they are quite time consuming painting the letters.

This one has proved very popular, especially with the ladies I cannot understand why. It always causes a lot of amusement if I have it on my craft stall.
This would make an ideal present for anyone who loved golf

Well production has slowed down as I we have our 5 year old grandson for the next three days. So can only do bits and pieces as time allows. Like all children he is constantly on the go and always wants attention. They grow up so quick, we have been out Geocaching (finding hidden packages using GPS systems), as can be seen in the picture we found one in Trearddur Bay on the isle of Anglesey so he was really excited.

Well today had been a beautiful warm sunny day here on the isle of Anglesey in N Wales. Have been busy in my garage for some of the time making puzzles which people have ordered from me. It really is a very relaxing hobby.

These are educational yet fun jigsaws helping the child to spell their names. Painted using non toxic paints and varnishes.

I enjoyed making this dragon, there were lots of intricate cuts required
These two cupids have been very popular and I have been asked to make several of these clocks

Here is another different childrens inlay wooden puzzle. Quite novel with it being in the shape of an ark

Tuesday, 29 September 2009

This I think is a very eye catching and educational inlay jigsaw puzzle. The shape makes it quite distinctive and the colours are nice and bright. Non toxic paints and varnishes are used throughout.
This clock has proved to be very popular, dolphins appear to be very collectable for some people
This was quite a detailed picture to cut , the person who purchased it was very pleased. I was also pleased how well it had turned out.

Motorcycle clock

This is a clock I was asked to make a while ago for a friend, she certainly liked it when she saw it.
